Mr. Lonza Walton Scott, son of the late Mr. James Lewis Scott and Mrs. Rebecca Whitlow Scott, was born 5 Nov. 1890 in Green Co. and departed this life at 5:30 am Fri. 10 Oct 1975 at his home at Allendale in Green Co. He was 84 years 11 months and 5 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Allendale Baptist Church at the time of his death. He was a former Green Co. school teacher and a WWI Vet. He united in marriage to Miss Nannie Akin 4 Oct 1914 who survives. To this union were born 1 daughter and 3 sons: Mrs. Ree Scott Bardin, Bowling Green; Finis Scott, Greensburg, Clay Scott, NC. and Walton Scott, Louisville. Mr. Scott is also survived by 3 sisters: Mrs. Cora Whitlow, Mrs. Cynthia Reeves and Mrs. Elsie Oller all of Louisville, and 1 brother: Charlie Scott, Louisville and 6 grandchildren and 1great-grandchild and host of other relatives and friends. The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 2 pm Sun. 12 Oct 1975 with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Revs. Ferrill Gardner and Clarence Walters officiated. Active pallbearers were C.L. Underwood, Francis Stearman, Floyd Scott, Tommy Whitlow, Otto Whitlow, and Herbert Lee Keesee. Honorary Pallbearers were Moss Scott, Marvin Akin, Cliff Coyle, H.H. Durham, Woodson Lewis, Arvin Hall, C.E. Akin, R.P. VanCleave, Charles Akin, Arvin Ford, Shively Mitchell, Ausbon Pierce, Garnett Gupton, Raymond Skaggs, George E. Elmore.
