Victoria was born June 6, 1915, at Turkey Creek, WV, she was the daughter of the late Burwell "Buel" Hamilton Cook (1887-Deceased) and Lillie Mae Cook-Cook (1888-Deceased) of Turkey Creek. She was the sister of Freeland Clyde Cook (1910-Deceased), Mammie Cook-Cooper (1912-Deceased). Romeo Earl Cook Sr. (1913-2005), Ira Winfrede Cook (1917-1997), Ruby Cook (B. 1922) & Ina Cook-Stewart (B. 1924). She was preceded in death by her husband Johnny "Golden" Cook, Sr. (1909-1985) whom she married on February 11, 1933 in Pineville, Wyoming County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Wyoming County, WV, Page 320, Application Date: February 8, 1933); daughter Dixie Lee Cook-Walker-Shields (1941-1993); and granddaughter Janet Decker (Deceased).
Survivors include three sons, Freeland Cook of Burlington, WV, Johnnie Golden Cook Jr. of Dayton, OH, Ronnie Cook of Norfolk, VA, one daughter, Loretta Cook-Raines, of Knoxville, TN; ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, ten great great grandchildren, and three great-great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2013, at Calfee Funeral Home. Interment will be at Cook Cemetery, Rockview, WV.
