VIRGIE ELLEN FISHER UMBERGER, age 86, of the Huddle Community, passed away Monday, February 26, 2001 in Edgemont. She was born in Wythe County, the daughter of the late Charles K. and Leora Collins Fisher. She was a life member of Huddle Memorial United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Women. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Andrew Umberger and a brother Clyde Fisher. She is survived by: a daughter, Donna Umberger of the Huddle Community; two sons and daughters-in-law - Charles L. and Barbara Umberger, James A. "Jimmy" and Kathleen Umberger all of the Huddle Community; two sisters - Lettie Groseclose of the Huddle Community and Ollie Kincer of Wytheville; one brother - Robert "Bob" Fisher of the Huddle Community; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren also survive. A celebration of life service will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2001 at 8:00 p.m. at Huddle Memorial Untied Methodist Church with the Rev. Joe Carrico and the Rev. Jeff Callahan officiating. The family will receive friends at the Huddle Memorial Church Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until service time. A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 1, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. at the Davis Cemetery. Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville, Virginia is in charge of the arrangements
