Daughter of Alexander and Lucinda Blagg St. Clair of Arkansas. Minerva had a son, Oliver, Jr., in January 1854 by her first husband Oliver McDaniel in Arkansas, before she wed the widower, C.P. McPherson February 13, 1859, in Healdsburg, California. He had six previous children and passed away in 1875 after they produced an additonal four sons and three daughters. She then married Thomas J. Abbott on February 25, 1881, in San Joaquin County. She and Thomas Abbott eventually continued on to the Covelo, California area where they eternally rest today.
In a heartwarming circumstance, a J. McDaniel appears again with his wife, Anna, in rural Calaveras County for the June 1880 U.S. Census providing a household for the six youngest McPherson children: Miller, French (sometimes shown as "France"), Stonewall, Ewell, Earley, Mary, and Anna McPherson.
As this pioneer tale unfolds, any further information would be quite welcome to tell it correctly. In progress, late 2014. Please feel free to use the "Edit" tab. Thank you.

Descendants of Minerva by Charles Perry McPherson have possible relationships to Revolutionary War patriots through McPherson, Hale, and Kincheloe ancestors.
