David A. Williamson, 68, formerly of Moline, died this morning at Franciscan Hospital after a brief illness. He recently lived in Conesville, Iowa.

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Columbus Junction, Iowa. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Keota, Iowa.

Visitation will be 10:45 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at the church and 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline.

A rosary will be recited 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to St. Coletta School, Jefferson, Wis.

Mr. Williamson was born Clinton, Ind., and came to Rock Island County in 1928. He married Caldona Greiner in 1942 in Kahoka, Mo.

He was employed as a crew foreman for the Stoehr Palmgren Construction Co. in Moline for 20 years. He retired in 1974.

Mr. Williamson was a World War II veteran of the Army and won several medals for bravery. He received a Purple Heart, a Nine-Star Battle Pin and a Victory Pin of Africa.

He was a member of American Legion P 246, Moline.

Survivors include his widow, a daughter, Mrs. Albert Leemans of Moline, son, James L Greiner of Aurora, Mo. 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, brother, Joseph Williamson of Keno, Oregan and sister, Mrs. Minnie Ricauda of Clinton, Ind.
