Mildred V. Abdill passed away on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, after a brief illness.
Mildred was born in Millville on March 19, 1919, to Estella and John Ottinger. She was a lifelong resident of Millville. Mildred was employed for a number of years by the LG Nestor Glass Inc.. In 1962, she and her husband John opened Abdill's Luncheonette, which was in operation until 1992.
Mid enjoyed spending time with her loving grandsons and great-grandchildren. She also looked forward to her monthly luncheons with her "Girls Club" and trips with the "Go-Go Girls."
She was predeceased by her husband, John P. Abdill, three sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by her son, John D. Sr. and wife Pat; loving grandsons, John Jr. and wife Jamie, and Ryan and wife Rosaly; and four cherished great-grandchildren, Emily Rose, John D. III (JD), Nicholas Robert and Charlotte Elizabeth. Aunt Mid is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the Barr Funeral Home, 2104 E. Main St., Millville. There will be a viewing at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park.
Mildred was a member of the Fourth United Methodist Church in Millville.
