Rev. Lyman S. Johnson was the son of Charles E. & Eiizabeth (Smith) JOHNSON. He was an American Baptist minister serving as pastor of the First Baptist Church of Cohos NY 1870-1878, Granville NY Baptist Church in the 1880s, and First Baptist Church of St. Albans VT 1 Sep 1889 to 20 Sep 1891 when ill health compelled him to resign and move to Bristol CT. It is probable that he served other churches as well. The 1900 Census has the family in New Britain CT and lists Edith M. Johnson as an adopted daughter, born Feb 1873.
