Jonesboro, Aug. 25. - R. B. Holt, 75, of Bay died in a Jonesboro hospital this morning from complications developing after he underwent an operation for the removal of a carbuncle on the back of his neck several days ago..
Mr. Holt, a retired farmer cam to Craighead county from Athens, Ala. in 1923 and had lived at Bay since. He was a member of the Baptist church. Funeral services will be held at the Bay Baptist Church Wednesday afternoon.
Mr. Holt is survived by his wife, three sons, Robert Holt of Bay and W. C. and Lee Holt of Jonesboro; six daughters, Mrs. Nora Womack, Mrs. John Hamilton, Mr. A. B. Womack, Mrs. W. D. Friend, and Mrs. Hagan Easter, all of Bay; a brother, J. W. Holt of Athens, Ala., and two sisters, Mrs. Alice Wade of Rockwell, Tex., and Mrs. Ella Underwood of Dallas, Tex.
