On the 1900 census his name is shown as Charles Annen.
The marker on his grave maybe deteriorated or was
vandalized. Someone repaired it the best they could
and show it had Charles ( and looks like they have Sares
so guess they could not make out the Carl.
I am assuming that his name was Charles Carl Annen.
