Colvin "Pop" Hunter McMath, 86, died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2000, at his residence.
Mr. McMath was born in Randolph County, July 6, 1914, to George Henry and Lydia Brewer McMath.
Mr. McMath was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; one sister; and a daughter, Peggie Adams.
He was a carpenter by trade.
Survivors are his loving wife of 62 years, Lila Peeden McMath of the home; daughter, Eva Brown and husband, Richard of Greensboro; sons, Doug McMath and wife, Ann of Julian, Frank McMath and wife, Brenda of McLeansville; sister, Ruth Carey of Salinas, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
