Teresa Mary (Horner) Rice was born on November 29, 1956 in England, the daughter of Henry Horner and Katherine ( -- ) Horner.

She was 11 years old when her family migrated to the United States and eventually settled in Will County, Illinois where she graduated in 1975 from Lyons Township High School.

Theresa was married to Steven W Rice (1947-2014), who was born in Ohio, and his mother was Naoma Ruth Rice (1928–1995).

She enjoyed traveling, music, photography and gardening, and she was 56 years old when she passed away peacefully at home on January 3, 2013 after an 8-year battle with ovarian cancer.

Preceded in death by her father, Teresa was survived by her husband, a son and daughter, a married stepdaughter, step-grandson, her mother, two brothers and a sister-in-law and several nieces, nephews, a grandniece and a grandnephew.

Funeral Services were held at the chapel of Fred C Dames Funeral Home, and burial was in Manhattan Center Cemetery.
