ALBERT J. (BUD) DEBOER, age 90, of Grand Rapids, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at his home.
The son of KLAAS and GRIETJE (KONNING) DEBOER, Bud was born May 2, 1922 in Grand Rapids.
A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, Bud served in World War II in the Philippines and the Aleutian Islands. He enjoyed traveling, reading, fishing and camping.
Preceding him in death was his wife of 50 years, DORIS M. (KIEFER) DEBOER and daughter CLAIRE.
Albert (Bud) is survived by his four children; BILL and (GAYLE) WANROOY of Comstock Park, DALE and JONI DEBOER of Marysville, Washington; DAVID DEBOER of Chestertown, Maryland; PAULA DEBOER of Santee, California. Grandchildren: JOHN and (STEFANIE) MEYERHOLTZ of Belmont, BILL and KATHY WANROOY of Belmont, DEREK DEBOER of Washington, DANA DEBOER of Warren. Great Grandchildren, DIANA and OTTO MEYERHOLTZ, SOFI and HENRI WANROOY.
He will also be missed by his many family members and friends. Visitation is 10:00 am, June 12th with a Memorial Mass at 11:00 am at St. Jude's Catholic Church 1110 Four Mile Rd. NE., Grand Rapids. In lieu of flowers, donations to Spectrum Health Hospice would be appreciated.
