"Winnie" was born in Wiergate, Newton, Texas on August 14, 1937, to Benjamin Alto Rudd and Onita Merle (Holton) Rudd Mattingly.
She was an outside plant construction supervisor for AT&T, and a member of the Woodworkers of Southeast Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Alto Rudd and Onita Merle (Holton) Rudd Mattingly; step father, Roy Mattingly and nephew, Robert Hindt.
She is survived by her partner of 35 years, Sue Caldwell of Orange; sister, Doris Reed and husband Jim of Orange. Interment: Mattox Cemetery in Mayflower, Newton, Texas.
