James Timothy Adams, 62, passed away on Friday, March 9, at his home in Texas.

He was born on September 4, 1949 a son of Porter Jackson and June (Miller) Adams and graduated from Larwill High School in 1967.

Jim served in the United States Army and was stationed in Vietnam.

He worked at Dana Corporation until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Shreve Adams and her brother Mike, both of Texas; his mother, June Adams of Columbia City; his siblings, Judy (Fred) Villarreal of Sparks, Nevada, John (Barbara) Adams of Columbia City, Jayma (Randy) Hanauer of Waxhaw, North Carolina and Janet (Munther) Qubain of Raleigh, North Carolina; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. His father preceded him in death.

A Memorial Service will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, Columbia City.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the donor's favorite charity.

Local arrangements are by Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.
