Harold Wayne Cline Sr., 86, went home to be with the Lord and receive his eternal reward on Monday, May 16, 2011. Service: We will celebrate his homegoing at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., the Rev. Ralph Bradshaw and the Rev. Gary Meek officiating. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Cline was born March 16, 1925, in Denton County. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served on the transport USS Doyan in the Pacific during World War II. On Dec. 28, 1946, he married the love of his life, Bobbie Louise Curtis. In 1985, he retired from the city of Irving after 30 years of faithful service. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. His gentle spirit and loving kindness will be deeply missed, but not forgotten, by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Harold Wayne Jr.; two brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors: Wife of 65 years, Bobbie Cline; sons, Larry Cline, Darrell Cline; daughter, Linda Hammond; sisters, Imogene Lucas and Sally Vestal; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
