BLANCHARD, Russell J. Age 80, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Dayton, Sunday afternoon December 30, 2012 in the presence of his loving wife and daughter. He was member of Antioch United Methodist Church, where he devoted many hours of service and enjoyed helping others. He belonged to the Trotwood Masonic Lodge #755 and the Brookville Masonic Lodge #596. He worked at Royal Crest Dairy for 31 years where he held many titles. He was owner and operator of Generator Service for 16 years, where he retired from. Russ enjoyed getting together with his family, playing cards and games, working in his yard and grilling out. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Ruth and LaVon, and his brother, Von. Russ is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis, of 59 years. Daughter, Deborah (Joseph) Cuzner; son, Steven (Carla) Blanchard; 10 grandchildren, Hope, Sharon, Trevor, Joey, Jacob, Austin, Lindsey, Brandon, Jessica, and Liana; 13 great-grandchildren, Tim, Aisha, Zac, Andy, Kimmy, Layne, Jacob, Carlee, Emma, Reagan, Lacey, Jayden, and Amber; 2 great-great grandchildren, Zayden and Harper; brothers-in-law, Bob (Jeane) Hicks and Ron (Sandy) Hicks; sister-in-law, Dolores Grushon; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was also brother to 4 sisters. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 3 from 4-6PM at ROGERS' FUNERAL HOME, Trotwood. The Funeral Service will be Friday, January 4 at 10:30AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Trotwood.
