Margaret Virginia (Butler) Ring was born on April 26, 1918 in Birmingham, Alabama, the daughter of William Monroe Butler Sr (22 Oct 1889-Apr 1983) and Annie Jane (Comstock) Butler (10 Nov 1890-Oct 1985). {Her father William was living in Chapel Hill TN when he died in 1983, while her mother Annie was a resident of Shelbyville when she died in 1985.}
Margaret was married on June 30, 1947 in Madison County, Alabama to Jesse Herschel Ring (1910–1988), the son of Joseph "Albert" Ring (1870-1950) and {his 1st wife or his ONLY wife?} Eliza Elizabeth "Bettie" (Lumsdon) Ring (1879-1912). {It is noted that in the 1920, 1930 and 1940 census records, Albert was listed as a widow.}
She was a homemaker and a gifted seamstress. She was also a lifetime member of the Methodist Church.
A resident of Shelbyville, Tennessee, she was 94 years old and a widow when she passed away on August 9, 2012 at Alive Hospice at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
She was preceded in death by her husband and by her parents, while survivors included a Ring daughter and three brothers and two Butler sisters-in-law.
Graveside Services were held in Ring Cemetery in Pottsville.
