Age 91, of Union Grove, passed away Tuesday, January 08, 2013 at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints in Racine. Ruby was born September 6, 1921 in Racine, to the late William and Nancy (nee Schreiber) Osenga. She was a lifetime resident of Union Grove and a graduate of Union Grove High School and Mooris Business College in Racine. On September 2, 1950 at Union Grove Congregational Church, Ruby was united in marriage to Russell Alswager. Russell preceded her in death in 1981.
Ruby was employed at Southern Wisconsin Center as a office manager for 35 years, retiring on October 1, 1986. She had previously worked for 12 years at Raymond Myer and Co-CPAS in Racine. Ruby was a member of the Union Grove Congregational Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Business and Professional Woman of Union Grove Area as well as the Women's Organization of Union Grove Congregational Church. Ruby taught Sunday school at church and had played Mrs. Santa Clause for over 30 years, the last in 2012.
