Mr. William Avery Bodenhamer, age 39, of Sanford, N.C., died Monday, January 7, 2013 at his home.

He was born in Lee County, N.C. on September 6, 1973, to Mack Cardell Bodenhamer of Sanford and Janette Buchanan Boggs of Sanford. William loved hunting, fishing, softball, racing and the UNC Tarheels. He worked as a roofer in construction.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Dianne Renee Brown Bodenhamer; son, David Scott "Scottie" Bodenhamer of Broadway; daughter, Heather Grace Bodenhamer of Sanford; brother, David Wayne Bodenhamer and wife Donna of Broadway; sister, Tammy B. Castleberry and husband Robin of Broadway; one grandchild and fourteen plus nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 10, 2013, from 5-7 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home and the memorial service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 7:00 PM with Rev. Pearl Castleberry officiating. The family will also be receiving friends at his sister Tammy Castleberry's home, 401 Vernon Street, Broadway.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home to assist with the funeral expenses, 600 West Main Street, Sanford, N.C. 27332.
