Lydia was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Pflugerville, Texas. She was a dedicated homemaker and worked during her lifetime at various jobs including Kash-Karry Grocery Stores in Austin, Texas and Quick Pharmacy in Round Rock, Texas. She also spent many volunteer hours at Trinity Lutheran Home in Round Rock.
She, with her husband Herbert, lived in the Three Point Community most of her married life. During her later years, Lydia lived in the Heatherwilde Assisted Living facility where she was quite active. She loved playing Bingo at the facility. Also, one of her special talents was playing the piano for daily devotions.

At 3 pm, January 10th, Pastor Tom Kesselring officiated in a public memorial service at the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Pflugerville in Lydia's honor. Lydia was buried in the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, 500 Immanuel Road, Pflugerville, Texas 78660 in a private family burial prior to the memorial service.
Serving as pallbearers were Lydia's grandchildren: David Herbert Wolff, Charles Kenneth Wolff, Eric Andrew Estep, Eric Walter Sonne, Trae Sonne, Sean Pierre Kypke Sr., Michael P. Gaines, and Martin Dewayne Curtice.
