Loraine Francis Hill, 72, of Sandusky, died Friday, August 5, 2011 at Cartwright Hospice Residence in Saginaw, Michigan.
She was born June 30, 1939 in Cass City, Michigan the daughter of the late Grant and Pearl (Rockwell) Meredith. She was a lifelong Sanilac County resident.
Loraine was a graduate of Cass City High School and earned her Bachelors Degree from Central Michigan University. She retired from Teaching at the Yale Community Schools, after many years of dedicated service. Loraine loved watching her Detroit Tigers.
She is survived by: John & Anne Hill (son) of Livonia, Julie & Douglas Beatty (daughter) of Sandusky, Jenae Hill (daughter) of Livonia, Alvin Meredith (brother) of Snover, Ruth Klee (sister) of Minden City, Ann Powell (sister) of Troy, 3 grandchildren, Eric Hill, Allison Hill, and Matthew Pozsgay. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Dale.
Visitation will be held at Marsh Funeral Chapel, Sandusky on Monday from 4 - 8 PM and on Tuesday from 10 - 11 AM Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Marsh Funeral Chapel, Sandusky. Rev. Ellen Burns will be officiating.
