AUGUSTA, Ga. - Rev. Tulane D. Mooneyham, age 88, loving husband of Lucille Mooneyham, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2005 at his residence.

Mr. Mooneyham was born in Chickasaw County, Mississippi to Walter Scott and Mary Adeline Sullivan Mooneyham on August 30, 1917. He graduated from Bible Training School in Sevierville, Tennessee and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Oklahoma Baptist University. He also studied at Burton Theological Seminary. He served as pastor in Oklahoma, North and South Dakota, Georgia, and Zimbabwe. He was a missionary overseer in Angola, Nigeria, and Chile. He was president of Berea Bible Seminary in South Africa. He visited and ministered in almost one hundred countries worldwide. Additional family members include daughters Shirley Wooldridge and husband the Rev. Ted Wooldridge, from Jasper, Georgia, Col. Beverley Best and husband Charles, from Buda, Texas, Glenda Mooneyham from Augusta, Georgia; and Kathleen Cook from Aiken, South Carolina. He is also survived by his sister, Marie Aland, from Chula Vista, California; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by sisters, Lavaun Kimbrough and Olivia Berting, and brothers, Wayne Mooneyham, Joe Mooneyham, and Dr. Stanley Mooneyham.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at 11 a.m. at His Community Church, 3358 Peach Orchard Rd. with the Rev. Ken Young officiating. Dr. Daniel Black, Dr. Don Walker, Dr. Lewis Stover, and Rev. Ted Wooldridge will be participating in the service. Mr. Mooneyham will lie in state in church 1 hour prior to service.

Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
