Carl H. Schulz, 78, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2013, at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center.

Carl was born on June 25, 1934, in the Town of Meeme, son of Arno Sr. and Martha (Wessel) Schulz. He was a 1952 graduate of Kiel High School. On September 25, 1954, he married Doris M. Etzkorn at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church in Kohler. Doris preceded him in death on March 20, 2008. Carl was employed with Kohler Company for 42 years until his retirement in 1997. He also worked as a tour guide at Kohler Company during his retirement.

Carl was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Kohler, where he was a past president of the church council and usher. He was a 50 year member of the Kohler Fire Department, member of the Kohler Quarter Century Club, and Red Cross blood donor. Carl enjoyed bowling, playing sheepshead, bridge, and cribbage, the outdoors, fishing, canoeing, bicycling, cross-country skiing, and maintaining his house and yard. He was also a fan of the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers.

Carl is survived by his two daughters, Gail (Robert Uhren) Schulz Ostermann of Grafton and Kathleen Mulbrandon of Verona; his two sons, Michael Schulz of Eden Prairie,MN and Jeffrey (Pegge) Schulz of Sheboygan Falls; three grandchildren, Sean Mulbrandon, Carli Schulz, and Natalie Schulz; one sister, Gertrude Schulz of Grayslake, IL; one brother-inlaw, Jack Piper of TN; and two sisters-in-law, Delores Schulz of Kiel and Carol (Ron) Gruenke of Hartland.

Carl was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Doris; his parents; two sisters, Dorothy (Willard "Lefty") Diefenthaler and Marian Piper; two brothers, Robert Schulz and Arno "John" Schulz, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Virginia Austreng.

Funeral services to celebrate Carl's life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, January 12, 2013, at Grace United Church of Christ in Kohler with Rev. Tom Schroeder officiating. Inurnment will take place at Woodland Cemetery in Kohler.

Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9 am until the time of the service at 11 am.

A memorial fund has been established in Carl's name.
