The funeral for Louise Hairston Hairston, 90, of 2497 The Great Road, Fieldale, will be at noon Thursday at the Pentecostal Assembly building with Elder Bobbie Agnew officiating.
The family will receive friends for one half-hour before the service Thursday and other times at the home.
She was born on March 26, 1922, in Henry County to Sam Jake Hairston and Hannah Starling Hairston. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Lester Hairston; four sisters, Mary S. Agnew, Lelia A. Prunty, Mattie Craighead and Georgia F. Hairston; and five brothers, Sam Hairston, Everett Hairston, Charlie Hairston, John "Peanut" Hairston and Daniel Hairston.
She was the founder and owner of the Hairston Home for Adults for 42 years.
She was a member of St. James Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she was a clerk and organized the choir.
Surviving are two sons, Kenneth M. Hairston of Raleigh, N.C., and Jeffrey D. Hairston of Fieldale.
