William D. Singleton

HARTSELLE -- William D. Singleton, 63, Route 2 formerly of Florence, died Saturday, Jan. 1 1994, at Veterans Administration Hospital, Birmingham.

He was a member of Woodward Avenue Baptist Church, Muscle Shoals, owner of Singleton's Barbeque in Florence for about 20 years; and a Korean War U.S. Navy veteran.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home chapel, Hartselle, with the Revs. Wayne Penn and Donnie Singleton officiating.

Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens, Tuscumbia.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Jacquelyn Singleton, Hartselle; son, Daryl Singleton, Florence; brothers, A. L. Singleton Jr., Hartselle, Lewis A. Singleton, Moulton; sisters, Mrs. Evie Betterton, Birmingham, Mrs. Edna Wallace, Decatur, Mrs. Nannie Bates, Tennessee, Mrs. Myrtle Strawn, Moulton; two grandchildren.

Bearers will be nephews.
