Raymond E. "Ray" Browning, 64, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, in his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born April 17, 1948, in Blackfoot to Chick and Edna Browning.

After a whirlwind romance, he married Jean Rogers Browning on Feb. 13, 1971.

Ray worked as an aircraft mechanic and eventually as flight line supervisor at Hill Air Force Base, retiring in 1995. He also served in the Air Force Reserves from 1974 to 1984 with an honorable discharge.

After leaving civil service, he then spent 10 years working at Murdock Chevrolet before retiring completely to enjoy his favorite pastimes, which included camping, four-wheeling, spending time at "the BL&L cabin" and being with his family and friends.

He was a man who lived life to the fullest and felt most at home in the outdoors with Jean at his side. We know that he is now in a better place -- most likely raising hell with his brothers, both of whom he missed greatly.

He is survived by his wife, Jean; children, Mica, Rex and Susan (Bradley Greger); and grandchildren, Colton, Aidan, Tamsyn and Kiera. He is also survived by his sisters, Dorothy Egbert and Mary Jean House, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles "Chick" Browning; mother, Edna Thomas Browning; and brothers, Tom and Jim Browning.

Memorial services will be held at noon Monday, Jan. 14, at the Woods Cross LDS 5th Ward house, 2064 S. 800 West in Woods Cross, Utah, with visiting hours from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. prior to services.
