Samuel Hubbard was the son of Daniel Hubbard according to Brimfield town records. His mother Esther Rice. He married Hannah Bliss on 1 December 1724 at Springfield, Massachsetts and died on Jan. 12, 1750 at Brimfield; (14th per gravestone) aged 53y. He was buried at Brimfield Center Cemetery.

Hannah Bliss Hubbard

Birth: Aug. 12, 1699, Massachusetts.
Death: Feb., 1781 at Brimfield, age 81 years according to town records.

Hannah Bliss was the daughter of Thomas Bliss and Hannah Caldwell and was from Springfield according to Brimfield town records. She was the great-grandaunt of famed author Ralph Waldo Emerson (Emerson's great-grandfather was Daniel Bliss, Hannah's brother).

Her grave in Brimfield seems to be unrecorded, but doubtless she was interred in the same cemetery near her late husband.

Samuel and Hannah's daughter Esther Hubbard was married to Edmond Damon on 3 December 1761 at Brimfield. He was the son of John Damon and Hannah Gleason.

Esther Rice Hubbard

Birth: Sep. 18, 1665, Marlborough, Middlesex County
Massachusetts.
Death: Feb. 11, 1737, Hadley, Hampshire County
Massachusetts.

Esther Rice was the daughter of Samuel Rice and Elizabeth King. She married Daniel Hubbard, son of John Hubbard and Mary Merriam, on 1 November 1683 at Hadley, MA. Esther died at Hadley, aged 67y.
