MOSCOW Beverly J. Gormsen, 69, a longtime Moscow area resident, died of a heart attack at Gritman Medical Center Friday.

She was born Jan. 10, 1926, to Elmer and Iva Stone McGee at Lewiston, where she grew up and attended schools. She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1943.

Before her marriage she worked at a bank at Lewiston.

She married Ray Gormsen May 20, 1944, at Moscow.

The couple farmed south of Moscow until retiring in September 1979 and moved to Moscow.

She was a member of the Moscow Moose Lodge. She enjoyed flowers, indoor plants, reading and working crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed visiting with friends.

Survivors include her husband of Moscow; two daughters, Diana Lamb and Sharon Dunn, both of the Seattle area; one sister, June Frost of Lewiston; and three grandchildren and a great-grandson.

A private committal service will be held at Lewis-Clark Memorial Gardens at Lewiston.


The family suggests memorials be made to the Moscow Volunteer Fire Department.
