Bud was born in Cleveland, OH, and died in the crash of Ozark Airlines Flight 809 in St. Louis, MO. He was a Chief Warrant Officer in the US Army CID and was en route to Fort Leavenworth, KS, to testify in a court martial. Bud was the husband of Leanne and the father of Deborah, age 7 years, and Michael, age 4 months. He was also survived by his mother Catherine and sisters Betsy, Peggy, and Nancy. He was dearly loved. Bud is now the father-in-law of Vivian and the grandpa of Pamela Rose Heggen who was born on August 31, 2012.
