He married his high school sweetheart, Rose Ann Dembicki and she preceded him in death in 2009 after 67 years of marriage. Bill was a WW II Air Force Veteran and a civilian contracting officer for the Air Force. He had also co-owned R & W Industries, Inc. and worked for Allison Transmission. Bill was the consummate handyman and was known for his ability and willingness to help anyone that needed it. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Greenfield.
He is survived by his children, Karen (Joseph) Porter of Irving, Texas; Elizabeth Farrar-McIntyre of Indianapolis, and William (Cathleen) Huffman, Jr. of Greenfield; 10 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Greenfield. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
