Donald Clare Cameron left this mortality to return to his Heavenly Father January 11, 2013.

He was born in St. George, Utah on October 2, 1927. He is the seventh child of Camilla Effie Cannon and the fifteenth child of Benjamin Cameron Jr.

Principal Cameron, as he was known by many, spent most of his life enhancing the education of the youth. His education career spanned 42 years. There was no subject he wouldn't pursue, no topic he wouldn't research. Discovering something new was always a delight for Don, but knowing his students made that same discovery was even better.

He served in the army as a surgical and medical tech from 1945 to 1947 and completed his military career in the Utah National Guard with the rank of Major.

Don's first wife, Erlene Church, preceded him in death in 1994. He was fortunate to meet and marry Mary Louisa Milem in 1997.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Effie Cameron, brothers, Karl, Archie, John A., Fred, Stanton, Arthur, and sisters LaReta, Fay Ella, Enid and Inez (twins), Beverly, Florence, Carma, and DeLoa.

He is survived by his brother Dr. D. Elwyn (Laurel, Laquita) Cameron, his loving spouse Mary, his children, Karen Hughey, Michelle (Dale) Nelson, Sally (Joe) Lee, Donald Clark (Melanie) Cameron, Jim, (Sally) Barkalow, Marilyn Gunter; 22 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
