I grew up around the corner (in the country) from this lady on the outskirts of Petoskey, Michigan. She was elderly even then when I was a little kid in the 70's. My mother used to send me along the back edge of our property to hers to purchase a dozen eggs now & then. She had quite a few "free range" chickens. You can see in the picture, I left her an egg. She did love her chickens. At that time, she was living with a gentleman named Everett. I don't remember much about him except that he was the one taking care of their horses. (I was just a little kid...) Now I'm living in Metro Detroit & found that I love Woodmere Cemetery. I was quite surprised to find this kind-hearted lady from my childhood there. May she rest in peace next to her husband who passed 48 years before her.
