Opal attended North Christian Church in Markleville, Indiana. She was a member and past president of WBCCI (Airstream Trailer Club), Indiana Unit.
She is survived by her husband Richard; one son, Bill Parrish, Indianapolis; one daughter, Deborah L. Ellingwood, Warsaw; one grandson Justin Ellingwood and wife Nicole; two great-grandchildren, Tylee Ellingwood and Jaylen Leonard; two brothers, Fred Keown and wife Joyce, Swayzee, and Emmett Keown, Windfall; and two sisters, Jessie (Keown) Sinning, Kokomo, and Carma Keown, Windfall. Opal was preceded in death by a son, Richard Parrish Jr., and two brothers, Elder Keown and Lindel Keown.
Opal's funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 16 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Chaplain Brenda Walls presiding. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service.
