Conrad Simons. Well what about him? Well he is the happiest man I ever say, except Riley Polk a few years ago. It's a fine girl and Con steps as light and nimble as a youth of twenty summers.
Now this places me where I will have to tell the joke on uncle Riley, which I requard as a captial one. So here it is: About three years ago in January, when the mercury was hovering around zero, Riley was seen coursing his way across the fields to his son-in-laws, Wallace Hayden, with a cane in each hand and with out wraps (on account of haste) shivering as he went. Being met on the way, he was hailed by "What's the matter, Riley, got the rheumatism or tooth ache?" "Neither, but I'm Grampa though."
