Funeral services for Ethel M. Kuch,92, Williamsburg, were held at 2pm today, Thursday, Dec. 1, at Uhlmann-Powell Funeral Home, Williamsburg. She died Monday, Nov. 28, 1994, at the Hallmark Care Center, Mount Vernon, following a long illness. The Rev. Forrest Krummel officiated at the service. Burial was in Pilot Grove Cemetery near Williamsburg. Casket bearers were Micheal Bean, Eric Von Fossen, John Engel, Lloyd Klever, Dale Slager and Philip Jones. Memorials may be give to the First Presbyterrian Church Endowment Fund. Ethel M. Kuch was born Aug. 29,1902, near Williamsburg in Pilot Township, Iowa County, the daughter of John C. and Barbara Estella Slager Klever. She attended rural school near Williamsburg. She married Dewey Bean March 31, 1925, in Ladora. He died Feb. 16, 1934. She married Albert Kuch Sept 12, 1946. He died Dec. 15, 1961. She lived in Williamsburg all her life and worked at Star Drug and Peterson's Drug for many years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, the church guild, the garden club, Rebekah Lodge, American Legion Auxiliary, Iowa County Historial Society, Century Club and the Marcia Club. Kuch is survived by one daughter, Sherlene(Pat) Van Fossen, Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both husbands; one son, Leo John Bean, April 15, 1991; her parents; two brothers, Alvin and Floyd Klever , and one sister, Marjorie Marling.
