Chalmers Z. Thistlewaite, 52, well known traveling salesman, died at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at his home, 1231 West Macon street.
Mr. Thistlewaite was for 25 years a traveling salesman for Palmer Manufacturing Co. of Waukesha, Wis. He was born in Sheridan, Ind. July 29, 1881. He had been a resident of Decatur the last 15 years,moving his family here from Indianapolis. He was a member of the Central Christian church in Decatur, and of Fidelity Lodge No. 309, A.F. & A.M. in Sheridan, Ind.
He leaves his wife and two children: Dr. P.M. Thistlewaite and Mrs. W.O. Hawkins; two grandchildren,Richard and Joan, all of Decatur; father, Charles Thistlewaite of Sheridan, Ind.; brother, J. Marvin Thistlewaite of Indianapolis.
The body will be taken to Sheridan, Ind. for burial.
