Charles Everett Anderson, 74, Oldfield, died Tuesday, March 9, 2004. He was born Oct. 16, 1929 in Crossroads, the son of Charley and Mamie (Hall) Anderson. Before retirement he worked as a truck driver. He enjoyed bible study, fishing, the Oldfield Opry, and attending his grandchildren's ballgames. He was a member of Highlandville Church of Christ where he served as an elder for many years. He was a loving husband, devoted father and wonderful grandfather. His parents; five sisters, Lettie Anderson, Norma Reed, Eunice Scribner, Rosetta Calvin, and Gladys Taber; two brothers, Emmett Anderson and Darrell Anderson; and a son-in-law, Ted Ziebarth, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife; four children; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Genevieve Horton, Nixa, and Lois Davis, Coeur D'Alene, Idaho; a brother, James "Barney" Anderson, Cassville; nieces; nephews, and many other loved ones. Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. March 13 in Adams Funeral home, Ozark, with Dwayne Bray officiating. Burial was in Old Boston Cemetery, Oldfield. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. March 12 in the funeral home.
