Mildred J. Tietjen Clark, 94, of Wallingford, formerly of River Run Senior Housing in New Haven, died July 31, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Clifford E. Clark (d, 1973).
She was born in New Haven, May 1, 1918, a daughter of the late Augustus and Mary Naughton Tietjen. Mildred worked as a machine operator at the Box Shop and A.C. Gilbert's.
She is survived by her son's and daughters-in-law, Louis "Muzzy" and Adeline Giammattei, and William and Holly-Ann Stowe; her sisters, Alice DeSenti and Joan Piscitelli; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Clifford "Kippy" Clark Jr.; and her siblings, Mary Shugrue, Veronica Cicarelli, Dorothy Caswell, Helen Dzimalek, and William Tietjen.
