She was born in New Haven, May 1, 1918, a daughter of the late Augustus and Mary Naughton Tietjen. Mildred worked as a machine operator at the Box Shop and A.C. Gilbert's.
She is survived by her son's and daughters-in-law, Louis "Muzzy" and Adeline Giammattei, and William and Holly-Ann Stowe; her sisters, Alice DeSenti and Joan Piscitelli; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Clifford "Kippy" Clark Jr.; and her siblings, Mary Shugrue, Veronica Cicarelli, Dorothy Caswell, Helen Dzimalek, and William Tietjen.
