Mr. Charles (Charlie) Bulla Boyles, 81, resident of High Point, died January 13th, 2013 at High Point Regional Hospital.
Mr. Boyles was born June 8th, 1931 in Randolph County, a son to the late Roba and Myrtle Coltrane Boyles. A resident of this area most of his life, he had served as Vice-President of Griffin Upholstery and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Fairfield United Methodist Church where he was a Sunday School Teacher and was active in the Choir and Men's Club. He also sang with the Fairfield Quartet, Soldiers Again and Led By Him. In 1953 he married the former Shirley Griffin who survives of the residence. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Taylor Angel and two brothers, Roba Boyles Jr. and Leon Boyles.
Also surviving are two daughters, Christy Angel and husband Kim of High Point and Lisa Kiser and husband Curt of Archdale; one son, Chuck Boyles and wife Missy of Archdale; one brother, Jerry Boyles and wife Dyanne of Archdale; eight grandchildren, Nick Kiser and wife Haley, Marcus Kiser and wife Aislynn, Spenser Angel, Wesley Boyles, Sarah Boyles, Ben Henson, Abby Henson and Jayne Henson; and three great-grandchildren, Charlee Kiser, Sawyer Kiser and Willow Kiser.
Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Fairfield United Methodist Church with Rev. Jill Auman, Rev. Keith Auman, Dr. Tim Porter and Rev. Gene Dean officiating. A private interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Cancer Center @ High Point Regional Hospital, 302 Westwood Ave. High Point, NC 27262 or to Fairfield United Methodist Church, 1505 Hwy 62 W. High Point, NC 27263.
