DOVER, Del., Feb. 25 - Dover has been saddened within the past 48 hours by a series of deaths. On Sunday, Mrs. Eunity I. Dyer, a life-long resident of Dover, died at the age of 87 years.
On Sunday evening, Mrs. Fannie E. Hurd, wife of Detective P.S. Hurd, died aged 48 years. Mrs. Hurd had been in ill health for some months from a complication of diseases.
Early yesterday morning Mrs. Ethel Biggs [sic] Clough, widow of Reynolds Clough, the well known Dover lawyer, succumbed to an attack of pneumonia. She was 39 years of age.
Mrs. Dyer is survived by her husband, William Dyer.
Mrs. Hurd is survived by her husband and four children, two boys and two girls, three of whom are grown.
Mrs. Clough is survived by two small sons, Francis and David, aged 13 and 10 years respectively. Mrs. Clough is also survived by her mother and two sisters, Mrs. Baxter and Miss Mary Riggs. The death of Mrs. Clough is particularly a sad one from the fact that her husband died less than six months ago last October, and her death leaves two orphans. Her funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon, private, with interment in the Clough lot in Odd Fellows' Cemetery, Camden.
The funeral of Mrs. Hurd will take place tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock, with interment in Lakeside Cemetery this town.
