August Thurow died at the home of his son, Albert, east of here, last Tuesday, at the age of 82 years. Decedent was born in Germany in 1830 and grew to manhood there. In 1883, he came with his family to America and settled on the present homestead. Mrs. Thurow died some 20 years ago. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Theo. Last of Oconto, and two sons, Carl and Albert both owning farms near here in the town of Maple Grove. The funeral took place yesterday, services being conducted by Rev. M. Sauer at the house and at the Lutheran church. Interment was in the Lutheran Cemetery. The deceased was a well known and respected man and while he attained a ripe old age, his loss is keenly felt by the bereaved family and a large circle of friends.
