After serving in the Navy during World War II, Cecil was a dedicated operator at Texaco for forty-one years. He enjoyed listening to country music and being outdoors; especially traveling, fishing, and spending time in his garden.
Mr. Ricks is survived by his daughter, Elaine Ricks Bunn and her husband, Gregory; son, Gene Wayne Ricks and his wife, Terri; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Paul R. Ricks and his wife, Nancy.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and wife of fifty-six years, Betty Hux Ricks.
Burial: Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches, Texas.
