Barbara Nell (Rochelle) Adair was born on February 17, 1942 in Lawrence County, Tennessee, the daughter of Aubrey Thomas Rochelle (1914–1950) and Mattie Belle (Crews) Rochelle (1914–2003).
She was married to Robert Lonnie "Tarzan" Adair Jr.
A former registered nurse at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Barbara was also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; a member of the Tennessee Nurses Association; and belonged to the Middle Tennessee Heart Association.
Barbara dedicated her time as a loving mother and set standards of excellence in nursing.
She was 70 years old and a resident of Summertown, Tennessee when she passed away on January 15, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee.
Preceded in death by her parents, son Robert Lonnie Adair III, sister Martha Fay Massey, and brother Joe Rochelle, she was survived by her husband, two married sons, four grandchildren, two married sisters and a brother.
Burial was at Center Point Methodist Cemetery in Lawrence County, Tennessee.
