She was born May 9, 1926, in Trimble County, Ky., the daughter of Everett and Annette Banks King. She was raised in Milton, Ky. and graduated from Milton High School. She lived most of her life in California.
She is survived by three sons, Keith Crain of Hanford, Calif., Jerry Crain of Seattle, Wash. and Dale Crain of Albuquerque, N.M.; five sisters, Mary Helen McClure of Madison, Nadine Jones of Rock Hill, S.C., Janis Leach of Madison, Judi Boldery of Hanover and, Sherry Dunaway of Milton, Ky.; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Crain; her parents; two brothers, Herman Jackson King and Lawrence Allen King; one sister, Wayva Jane Bladen; and one granddaughter.
Burial was in Moffett Cemetery in Milton, Ky.
