Mrs. Dorothy E. Farrell 67 of Jim Thorpe, passed away Saturday January 12 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. surrounded by her family. She had fought a 3/1/2 year battle with cancer.
She was the widow of John Jack Farrell who died June 5, 2001.
She owned and operated Farrell Gifts, a flag stand at the Hometown Farmers Market for over 20 years.
Born in East Mauch Chunk, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Crescentian Herman Tizzo.
She was a 1963 graduate of Jim Thorpe Area High School and a member of Saint Joseph Catholic church, Jim Thorpe.
Surviving are three daughters; *five sisters, a brother, 9 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Ted Echart.
