Charles C. Bryant

Charles Clifford "Chuck" Bryant, 69, of Harlingen, TX, formerly of Rockwood, passed away Jan. 6, 2004. A memorial service was held Jan. 9 in Harlingen. A full military burial was held in Houston National Cemetery.[actually Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery]
Mr. Bryant was born June 21, 1934 in Roane County, TN, the son of Ardell and Lola Best Bryant.
He owned his own real estate business and taught and called square dances at the "Fun in the Sun" Park. He was also retired from the United State Air Force, having served our country during Vietnam. He produced square dance records on the Mustang Recording label, which he owned. He loved to play golf and was a national square dance caller.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Rick Bryant of San Antonio, TX; grandsons, Jon-Luc and Dandre; former wives, Norma Jean and Peggy; and several nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Bryant; and brothers, Charles Ed, Billy Ray, John D., Howard and Jimmy Bryant.
Rudy Garza Funeral Home in Harlingen, TX was in charge of the arrangements.
