OBITUARY
Henry Edward Brammell was born near Ozawkie, Kansas, on the 23d day of January 1874 and died at Topeka, Feb. 16, 1922, his age being 48 years and 23 days.
He grew to manhood in the vicinity of Ozawkie. At the age of 17 he was left an orphan boy and went out to face life's battles alone. He traveled extensively, finally locating in Bakersfield, Calif., where he lived 17 years, earning and maintaining a comfortable home.
He had never identified himself with any church, but believed it a right thing to do, and said he expected to some time. Of the immediate family, two sisters and two brothers remain.
Funeral services were conducted at the church of the Brethren, Ozawkie, Saturday, Feb. 18, at 2 p.m., Rev. R. A. Yoder of Lawrence in charge.
