Yorktown Soldier Wounded in, Germany Dies at Clinton, Ia.

Pvt. Robert S. Belew, 25, of Yorktown, died at the Sehick General Hospital at Clinton, Ia., following a long illness. He had been wounded in Germany. Surviving the widow, Jane; a daughter. Nancy; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Belew; four sisters, Hazel Barkman of Muncie, Velma Fry of Batavia, Crystal Adams of Anderson, a twin sister, Mrs. Roberta Baker of Yorktown, and his grandfather, William Belew.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Yorktown Nazarene Church, with Rev. Kenneth Suits officiating. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. The body will arrive in Anderson at 2 clock this afternoon and will be taken to the Richman and Prilliman funeral home in Yorktown. At 7 o'clock Sunday evening the body will be taken to the home of the parents in Yorktown, where friends may call.
