Aldas L. "Pete" Carpenter Sr., 84, of 6200 S. Route 220 Highway, Linden, died Friday, Aug 11, 2000, at Manor Care Health Services. He and his wife, the former Helen Doebler, observed their 33rd wedding anniversary June 23. He was an inspector for Textron Lycoming for 28 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a life member of Woodward Township Fire Co. He enjoyed farming.
Born March 26, 1916, in Linden, he was a son of William and Florence Waltz Carpenter.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Sander s, 821 Diamond St., with the Rev. Judi Hulslander, of Pine Run United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Woodward Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday.
