HIGH POINT - Gladys Vaden Adams, 94, formerly of 1590 Burton Road, Thomasville, and Graybrier Nursing and Retirement Center, Trinity, died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2002, at High Point Regional Hospital.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Hillard Memorial Baptist Church, where she was a charter member, with Pat Taylor and the Rev. Ronald Blakley officiating. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery.
She was a native of Stokes County, the widower of Noah Kennedy and Chester Adams, a member of the Faithful Workers Sunday School Class at her church and retired from Adams Millis Hosiery Mill.
Surviving are daughter, Cora George of Thomasville; stepdaughter, Ruby Melton of Greensboro; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
The family will be at Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale, 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, other times at the home of her daughter, 120 Byerly Drive, Thomasville.
